Mountain Bike Pisgah National Forest

Listings go from easy to difficult.
Eastatoe Trail
– Out/Back, 2.75 miles, 46’ elevation gained
All Categories = 15 minutes – This is a warm up trail and is intended as a gateway trail to the forest and no one should be going “fast” on this trail. It should mainly be used as a warm up/cool down for riders before hitting the trails.
Directions: Start from the Davidson River parking lot or Lowes parking lot.
North Slope Trail
– Loop (counterclockwise), 4.6 miles, 485’ elevation gained, Seasonal trail opened Oct 15-April 15
Beginner = :45-1:30 hours…..Intermediate = 30-45 minutes…..Expert = 30 minutes or less
Directions: Start from the Davidson River parking lot
Sycamore Cove Trail
– Loop (clockwise), 3. 7 miles, 646’ elevation gained
Beginner = :45-1:30 hours…..Intermediate = 30-45 minutes…..Expert = 30 minutes or less
Directions: Start from the Davidson River parking lot.
Pink Beds Loop
– Loop (clockwise), 8.4 miles, 550’ elevation gained, Seasonal trail opened Oct 15-April 15
Beginner = 1:30-2:30 hours…..Intermediate = :45-1:30 hours…..Expert = 45 minutes or less
Directions: Start Pink Beds parking lot.
Avery Creek/Black Mountain Loop
– Loop (clockwise), 22.1 miles, 3713′ elevation gained
Beginner = STAY AWAY…..Intermediate = 3-5 hours…..Expert = 3 hours or less
Directions: Start from the grassy field at the Black Mountain trailhead.
