Wake up in a cloud. The Mount Pisgah Campground is located at the top of Mount Pisgah across the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Pisgah Inn. The campground includes RV and tent sites and has several bathrooms with showers throughout the campground. Several tent sites are nestled in the trees offering a natural barrier between sites. This campground is quite beautiful and stays cool throughout the summer due to its’ high altitude. Please know that you are on top of the mountain and should be aware that it gets cold at night and bears do live in the area. Follow the ranger’s instructions regarding handling food in the campground. There is a sundry store at the Pisgah Inn that does offer some basic supplies, but note that the nearest supplies and groceries are at the base of the mountain. There are several fantastic adventures to be had in the area and the views are simply spectacular.
