Culinary treats await you in Downtown Brevard.

Brevard is the fortunate recipient of several world-class chefs. Like so many of the “newer” locals, they pursued a dream of quality of life no big city could provide. Their love of place is reflected in the fantastic creations they offer. Whether it’s the blue cheese flatbread at the Bracken Mountain Bakery, the she-crab bisque at Marco Trattoria, or the fresh seafood at the Hobnob, your palette will be pleased.

NEWS FLASH! Some great things happening this week! Thursday night, May 17 – sit on the patio at the Hobnob and listen to the musical stylings of Shannon Whitworth (7pm until…). Friday night, May 18 – Check out the Texture Art Show at George Peterson’s Studio on King Street featuring sculpture work by George Peterson, paintings by Shellie Dambax, hair fashion by Studio U, music by Paul Jones, and food by Marco Trattoria. Saturday night, May 19 – Songsmith concert at the Porter Center.

There are events that happen here that confirm why I settled in Brevard – Events like finding a new waterfall or the overwhelming kindness of my neighbors. Last night’s Wine Dinner (March 13, 2012) at Marco Trattoria will make its mark in my memory as a personal favorite!
