Self-Guided Trips

Headwaters Outfitters offers 3, 4 & 7-hour self-guided canoe and kayak trips on the class I French Broad River. We provide canoes, kayaks, paddles, life jackets, transportation, and a river orientation. Great for beginners and experts alike!

Tubing

No better way to cool off on those hot summer days. You bring the friends and family and be ready for a fun day on the French Broad River! We provide the tubes, life jackets and transportation to and from the river.

Guided Canoe/Kayak Trips

Colors Of the Fall – See the Autumn colors from a different perspective. Every Saturday and Sunday in October, Headwaters Outfitters offers the “Colors of the Fall” series of guided paddling trips on the French Broad River. These interpretive guided trips balance nature observation with the quiet relaxation of a canoe or kayak outing. Every bend in the river brings a new palette of oil paint colors, from yellow/golds to the deepest garnet.  Departing at 10 am from Headwaters, each trip will include all paddling gear, river shuttle, and guide service.
